SMEs, Research Institutes, Scientific communities which are looking for partners for EU funded projects
Specific needs / Value Proposition:
The ICT sector has been one of SPI’s focus areas in many national and international (FP7/CIP and H2020) projects we have participated in. At a national level, SPI has performed the national ICT sector study in Portugal for a regional industrial association. At an international level, SPI has participated in various projects related to smart energy, smart cities, supporting ICT related start-ups and SMEs, developing ICT companies’ networks, developing online platforms for dissemination and networking, among others. SPI’s role in all these national and international projects often includes a focus on developing policy and programme recommendations as well as dissemination activities.
Specific benefits / Value Proposition:
Specific international projects worth mentioning include the H2020 project EXCITING – EU-China study on IoT and 5G (https://euchina-iot5g.eu/); CHOICE - Strengthening China Collaboration on ICT research with Europe (FP7) (http://projects.sigma-orionis.com/choice/); SMART CAMPUS project - Building-User Learning Interaction for Energy Efficiency (FP7); MyNeighbourhood project (FP7); SAVE ENERGY in which SPI contributed to the development of ICT policy recommendations (provided in Green Paper and discussed at meeting with Members of the European parliament); EMMINVEST - European Mobile and Mobility industries international that focused on developing the design of a new cross-border funding facility in Europe, and the Impact of the e-Economy on Entrepreneurship and Start-up Development in the ICT Sector – Europe. We have also recently been awarded a new H2020 project, YAKSHA - Cybersecurity Awareness and Knowledge Systemic High-level Application that aims to enhance Europe and Southeast Asia cooperation and partnerships in the cybersecurity domain. The proposal ranked number 1 out of 70 applicants with a score of 14,5.
SPI is often a preferred partner because of our experience in dissemination, communication and exploitation-related activities. Through our dedicated design team, we can work and lead the development of a project’s visual identity, brochures/flyers/posters, management of social media platforms, coordinating stakeholder engagement events, among others.
As with all the proposals we are involved in, we are always very keen to be an active provider of contributions to the proposal development, including specific sections and WP descriptions.
