In addition to the coordinated calls in ICT between Brazil and EU, which started in 2010, there are other EU-BR initiatives that also support cloud computing and ICT cooperation between innovators and researchers from both regions.
The initiative builds on the academic and research alliances between Brazil and Ireland. It was created with the objective to work as a virtual and physical network between Brazilian and Irish researchers

CloudSim Plus is a Java project that has both simpler module and package structures. The entire project is compounded of 4 modules that were re-organized to directly inherit from the parent project, allowing a researcher to quickly have an overview of the structure.
