Ortelio Ltd is a research focused company, working on software development and cloud robotics, where we are developing applications that give robots intelligence to take over human tasks. We work along the whole chain of research activities from needs discovery, scientific discovery, technology development, demonstration and validation as well as business model development, project financing and the creation of appropriate framework conditions for adoption.
We have developed Noos (https://noos.cloud), a cloud robotics platform which provides cognitive augmentation for robots. By delivering AI-enabled services in real-time via the cloud, Noos significantly enhances the usefulness of service robots. Using our Noos cloud platform enriches applications because objects, faces, sounds, voices, locations, and many other things, can be shared across different robots enabling cooperation of robots in a novel manner.

Stratos Arampatzis is the Director of Ortelio with over 20 years experience in international research and development initiatives. His work included managing, evaluating, and participating in EU projects for Horizon 2020, FP7, FP6, FP5, eContent, eTEN, Leonardo da Vinci, eco-innovation, Interreg III/IV, and the French and the Greek National Agencies of Research. He has also developed dissemination and exploitations plans for numerous of these projects, in domains such as robotics, ICTs and ageing well, digital preservation, intelligent transport, and environmental decision support systems. In the past Stratos worked as an associate researcher in the University of Bonn, Germany, and as the Director of Tero Ltd, Greece. He holds a Master’s Degree in Economics and Policy from Duke University, USA, and a B.Sc. in Biology from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
